Panechay Hunt: Director and Head Coach

Panechay has coached for over 15 years.  She started coaching at Piedmont VBC, which then became Piedmont Triad VBC. She is currently coaching for NC Power VBC at their new gym the PowerHouse for 10+ years, and assists Glenn Cashion in coordinating and developing the NC Sand Series beach volleyball program. 

 

Panechay is CAP 2 and Beach Impact certified and has coached at Page High School, Grimsley High School, and Mendenhall Middle School.

Carrie Wilson

Carrie has been involved with volleyball for over 10 years.  As a former player, turned coach she is motivated to inspire the love of the game along with helping players pursue their dreams.  This season will be her fifth season coaching at NC Power VBC.  Along with coaching at the PowerHouse, she is in her second season as head coach at Rockingham Community College.

Sammi Underwood

Sammi has 2 years of coaching experience. Before Sammi became a coach, she played for Junior level volleyball for  6 years as well as 1 year of AAU volleyball. 2019 was her first year coaching at NC Power volleyball club and coached a season of sand at NC Sand.

Libby Lenk

Libby grew up playing volleyball in central Texas. After playing in college she moved to Iowa to assistant coach volleyball at Iowa Central. In 2016 she  moved to VA to take on new career opportunities and am excited to coach and train for NC Power.

Fitness testing of all athletes; scheduling of games, scrimmages and tournaments. Maintained uniforms and equipment; filmed games and broke down game statistics.

Glenn Cashion, Founder and Chairman of the Board

Glenn Cashion has over twenty five years of volleyball playing and coaching experience. He has attended the CAP 1 and CAP 2 level coaching clinics. (USAV Coaching accreditation program). An avid doubles player, Glenn has played USA Volleyball for many years. In 1993 his men’s team won the Carolina Region A Division Championship and in 1995 they took second place. He coached teams and was an assistant director for the Piedmont Volleyball Club. In 1995 his 16 and under team, and in 1997 his 18 and under team won the Carolina Regional championship and went to the USA Volleyball Junior Olympic National Tournament. Glenn is also BCAP (Beach Coaching accreditation program) and Beach Impact certified.

 

Glenn has also coached at Grimsley High School, Page High School and was an Assistant Coach at Guilford College for 6 years. In 1995 and 1996 he established the women’s volleyball club at UNCG and assisted the varsity squad for Mid State 2-A conference champion Western Guilford High School.

 

In 2007 he founded and is club director for NC Power VBC the volleyball program at Proehlific Park and has established several clubs, tournaments and leagues. In the summer of 2011 he coordinated and developed NC Sand Series beach volleyball program as well as helped develop the NC High Performance beach training for players and coaches.
